Product Overview

Profiles Matched to the Structural Requirement

H-beams, I-beams, channels and angles serve different load paths and connection details. Selection should follow the project design, applicable standard and approved section properties rather than appearance alone.

FCB STEEL reviews profile designation, steel grade, dimensional tolerance, length, processing drawings and coating requirements before quotation. Section mass and loading quantity are calculated from the confirmed standard.

Use the standard designation or a section schedule

For an accurate offer, state the full profile designation and standard—for example H300 × 300, I200, C150 or L75 × 75—together with grade and length.

  • H / B: overall depth and flange width
  • tw / tf: web and flange thickness
  • L: required member length
  • Processing: hole pattern, cut, cope, weld and coating

Member design and connection engineering remain the responsibility of the project engineer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Before Requesting a Quotation

What information is required for an accurate quote?

Send profile type, full section designation, grade, standard, length, quantity, processing drawings, surface requirement and destination port.

Can sections be cut and drilled before shipment?

Yes, subject to drawing review. State member marks, cut lengths, hole details, datums, tolerances and inspection requirements.

Can you provide a unit-weight table?

Section mass is confirmed from the applicable standard and exact designation. A project-specific schedule can be prepared after the required profiles are identified.

Which surface finishes are available?

As-rolled supply is common. Blasting, shop primer, paint systems or galvanizing can be reviewed where applicable; state the preparation grade, coating system, color and dry-film requirement.

Can third-party inspection be arranged?

Yes. SGS, Bureau Veritas, TUV or another agreed company can be arranged at the buyer’s request, with scope and cost confirmed before order.

Do you publish a fixed steel price?

No. Steel and ocean-freight costs change frequently. We prepare a current FOB, CFR or CIF offer after confirming the specification, quantity, destination port, delivery period and quotation validity.
